I finally think I'm almost ready for this year. Kids come back tomorrow and I'm super excited! I hope to get to my room early enough tomorrow to take some pictures before all of the chaos!
Here's my schedule for this year. I'm really excited about the changes we've made and look forward to seeing how the students do with it all.
8:00-8:15 ~ Restroom/Daily Prep
8:15-8:35 ~ Morning Circle
8:35-8:55 ~ Math Boxes
8:55-9:25 ~ Literacy Workshop
9:25-10:25 ~ Centers/Small Groups
10:25-10:30 ~ Clean Up
10:30-10:45 ~ Recess
10:45-11:00 ~ Restroom/Letter Wall Work
11:00-11:30 ~ Lunch
11:30-11:45 ~ Restroom
11:45-12:05 ~ Circle Time (Shared Writing)
12:05-12:15 ~ Prep for Nap
12:15-1:15 ~ Naptime
1:15-1:30 ~ Lights On, Snacks, Restroom
1:30-2:00 ~ Math & Science Workshop
2:00-2:15 ~ Closing Circle
2:15-2:30 ~ Outside Time
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the students will have computers. This falls in between math boxes and literacy workshop. On Fridays, the students go to computers during the math and science workshop.
At the end of the day, bus riders stay for an extra 45 minutes. Pre-K is officially dismissed 45 minutes earlier than the rest of the school. Car riders leave at that time, but bus riders stay. It makes it easier to just let everyone go outside for that last few minutes instead of going outside and then coming back in for closing circle.
